Which Examination Body Certifies Your Course at Delight Technical College?
By Delight Technical College | Academic Information | 2026
When you study at a TVET institution in Kenya, your certificate is not issued by the college itself. It is issued by a government-recognized examination and certification body. This is important because it is the examination body’s name on your certificate that employers, universities, and industry partners look at when evaluating your qualification.
At Delight Technical College, all our courses are examined by one of two bodies: TVET-CDACC or NITA. Here is a full breakdown of which body examines which course so you know exactly what you will walk away with.
🏛️ The Two Examination Bodies at Delight
- TVET-CDACC (Curriculum Development, Assessment & Certification Council)
CDACC was established under the TVET Act 2013 and operates under the Ministry of Education, Kenya. It is the primary national body responsible for developing curriculum, setting assessment standards, and awarding qualifications for diploma and higher-level TVET programs across Kenya.
CDACC certificates are aligned with the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) and are recognized nationally and regionally across East Africa.
- NITA (National Industrial Training Authority)
NITA was established under the Industrial Training Act and operates under the Ministry of Labor & Social Protection. It focuses on trade-based, artisan, and craft-level qualifications, and is well respected by employers in Kenya’s manufacturing, textile, and trades sectors.

🔑 Key Insight: CDACC for Diplomas, NITA for Trade Courses

- NITA examines all Trade Test (artisan) programs
This means that if you are studying a Trade Test course whether Tailoring, Dressmaking, Knitting, Photography, Videography, Graphic Design or ICT, NITA will certify your qualification. If you are studying at Level 3 and above in any of our structured programs, CDACC is your certification body.
