Help Us Sponsor 50 Students in 2027

The target: 50 fully funded students. The deadline: 31 December 2027.

Where we are right now

  • Students funded so far: [3] of 50
  • Raised: KES [328,650]
  • Sponsors so far: [2]
  • Days remaining: [1 year, 4 months, 14 days]
  • Last updated: [14th May 2026]

*This page is updated monthly. The numbers above are current as of the date shown.*

Why fifty, and why a deadline

Fifty is not a round number chosen for a poster. It is roughly the number of qualified applicants we turn away in a year. Those are people who applied, met the entry requirement, passed the interview, and were sent home because the money ran out.

We have run open-ended appeals before. They raise less. A request with no target and no end date asks the reader to decide how much and when, and most people, reasonably, decide later.

So: fifty students. By the end of 2027. Counted publicly, in the open, whether or not we get there.

What fifty students costs

The campaign target is built from real fee structures, not an estimate.

  • 20 students- Fashion and Design, full-time at KES 132,000 = KES 2,640,000
  • 15 students- Media and AI, full-time at KES 111,000 = KES 2,220,000
  • 10 students- part-time and weekend modes at KES 78,000–102,000 = approximately KES 900,000
  • One-time admission and starter costs, 50 students at KES 8,500 = KES 425,000
  • Examination fees, 50 students at KES 8,000 per level = KES 400,000

Total campaign target: KES [6,585,000]

The mix is deliberate. Not every student needs a two-year diploma; some need a six-month artisan qualification and a machine, and they will be earning sooner than the diploma students. We fund the pathway that fits the person.

Ways to take part

Fund a whole student- KES 78,000 to 132,000

One sponsor, one student, one year. You are matched with a named student, receive termly updates, and are invited to their graduation. Fifty of these and the campaign is finished.

Fund half a student- KES 39,000 to 66,000

Paired with another sponsor. Both of you receive updates on the same student. This is the most popular level and there is no shortage of people to pair with.

Join the monthly table- KES 1,000 to 13,000 a month

A standing monthly gift for the length of the campaign. Ten people at KES 1,300 a month fund one full-time Fashion and Design student between them.

Cover an entry- KES 8,500

One student’s complete admission cost: registration, ID, T-shirt, starter pack, locker and activity fee. For a student whose family scraped together the first month of fees and nothing else, this is the gift that gets them through the door.

Cover a kit- KES 4,500

One student’s tools and materials for the year.

Cover an examination- KES 8,000

One national examination fee to TVET CDACC or NITA. A student who completes the training but cannot sit the examination has nothing to show for the year.

Fund a cohort- from KES 555,000

For companies, foundations, churches, chamas and family groups. Five, ten or twenty students funded together as a named group, with consolidated reporting you can circulate to your members or your board.

What every sponsor receives

  • Written confirmation and a sponsorship agreement
  • The name and profile of the student you funded, with their consent
  • Termly updates that include attendance, results, project work, attachment
  • Your name on the campaign supporter list, unless you ask us to leave it off
  • An invitation to the 2027 graduation
  • A final campaign report showing exactly what the fifty students achieved

Milestones we will publish as we pass them

  • 10 students funded– one fifth. Announced publicly with the names of the students, with consent.
  • 25 students funded– halfway. A mid-campaign report published on the website.
  • 40 students funded– the final push, with the remaining students profiled individually.
  • 50 students funded– target reached. Full report, and the names of every sponsor who agreed to be named.

If we do not reach fifty, we will publish that too, with the number we did reach and the names of the students we could not fund. A campaign that only reports success is not being counted, it is being marketed.

How to give

M-PESA– Paybill 522533, Account 8023637#YourSurname. Reference “50IN2027“.

Bank– KCB Bank Kenya, Biashara Street branch, Delight Technical College, account 1296930947. Reference “50IN2027” and your name.

To fund a named student or a cohort, email [email protected] with the subject “50 in 2027“, or call or WhatsApp +254 722 533 771. We will send you profiles to choose from and the sponsorship agreement.

If you cannot give

Then send this to one person who can. A campaign at this scale is not carried by a handful of large donors; it is carried by a large number of ordinary ones who each heard about it from someone they trust.

Share it. Post it. Put it in your group. Mention it to your employer, who may have a CSR budget looking for exactly this.

The count so far

[3] of 50 students funded. [1 year, 4 months, 14 days] days remaining.

Every number on this page moves when someone decides. Move one.
