🌹 Part 1: Lingerie Design

Lingerie is one of fashion’s most technically demanding categories. The garments are small, but the precision required is immense.

Technical Skills:

• Working with delicate fabrics like lace, satin, silk, stretch fabrics
• Fitting and construction for intimate wear
• Elastic application, underwire insertion, hook-and-eye fastenings
• Sizing and grading for lingerie (differs significantly from outerwear)

Design Considerations:

• Comfort and functionality alongside aesthetics
• Skin safety fabric testing and non-irritant materials
• Colour and trim selection for intimate wear

✨ Part 2: Occasion Wear

Occasion wear covers the garments people wear for life’s most significant moments  like weddings, graduations, galas, and formal events. It is a premium market that rewards the highest levels of skill and artistry.

Technical Skills:

• Working with luxury fabrics like silk, organza, taffeta, chiffon
• Intricate construction: structured bodices, full skirts, trains
• Beading, embellishment, and couture finishing techniques
• Fitting and alteration for formal wear
