Home Schooling at Delight: How Remote Learning Works and Who It Is For
By Delight Technical College | Study Modes | 2026
Distance should never be a barrier to quality creative education. At Delight Technical College, the Home Schooling study mode makes it possible for students who cannot attend campus regularly to access the same quality of training as full-time students through a structured, supported remote learning approach. Here is everything you need to know.
🏠 What Is Delight’s Home Schooling Mode?
Home Schooling at Delight is not unstructured self-study, it is a guided, curriculum-aligned learning mode where students receive:
- Comprehensive learning materials like course notes, instructional videos, and assignment briefs
- Regular online interaction with tutors through video calls, messaging, and the digital learning platform
- Clear assessment schedules- assignments and projects submitted and assessed according to the standard programme timeline
- Access to the digital e-learning library- all the reference materials available to campus students
- Periodic campus visits for key practical assessments that cannot be completed remotely
🌍 Who Is Home Schooling For?
Students Based Outside Nairobi:
Kenya is a large country, and not every talented prospective student lives in or near Nairobi. Home Schooling enables students from Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nakuru, and across Kenya to access Delight’s qualifications without relocating.
International Students Not Yet in Kenya:
Students from Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and beyond who want a Kenyan CDACC or NITA qualification can begin their studies remotely before arranging travel to Nairobi for assessments.
Students With Physical Disabilities or Health Challenges:
Students who face challenges with regular campus attendance due to health or accessibility issues can access a full education through Home Schooling.
Students With Intensive Work or Family Commitments:
Those whose daily commitments make campus attendance impossible, even for evening or weekend classes, can access the curriculum remotely.
💰 Home Schooling Fees
Home Schooling carries a premium over other study modes, reflecting the additional resources and one-on-one tutor time required:
- School of Tailoring, Fashion & Design: KES 19,000/month | KES 186,000/year
- School of Media & Artificial Intelligence: KES 17,000/month | KES 174,000/year
📦 The Starter Pack for Home Schoolers
Home Schooling students receive the same KES 4,500 Course Starter Pack as campus student (tools, guides, and materials relevant to their specific course) delivered or arranged for collection.
🎓 Assessment for Home Schoolers
Written and theory-based assessments are completed and submitted online. Practical assessments like garment production, photography portfolios, film projects, and other tangible outputs are assessed either through submitted digital documentation (photographs of completed garments, video projects) or at scheduled campus visits.
“A Delight education should be available to everyone who wants it wherever they are. Home Schooling is our commitment to making that true.”
