FASHION DESIGN SCHOOL NAIROBI KENYA

Delight Technical College, renowned for its commitment to fashion education and innovation, extends its influence beyond academia through the impactful work of Delight Foundation. This charitable arm of the institution is dedicated to uplifting the less fortunate in Nairobi, Kenya, with a focus on making a tangible difference in the lives of children and disaster-affected communities.

Visiting Children’s Homes: Bringing Joy and Support.

One of Delight Foundation’s significant projects involves regular visits to children’s homes, such as the Makimei Children’s Home. These visits are more than just a gesture of goodwill; they are carefully planned events aimed at providing emotional support, educational materials, and essential supplies. During these visits, Delight Foundation’s volunteers engage with the children through various activities, fostering a sense of belonging and hope. The smiles and laughter shared during these visits are a testament to the positive impact the foundation has on these young lives.

Flood Relief: Aiding Victims in Nairobi.

Nairobi has faced severe challenges due to seasonal floods, which have displaced families and caused significant hardship. Delight Foundation with the help of the Face of Africa models,  have been at the forefront of providing relief to flood victims. The foundation organizes food drives and clothing donations to support those affected by the floods. Volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the aid reaches the most vulnerable, helping them rebuild their lives and regain a sense of normalcy. This initiative highlights the foundation’s commitment to standing by the community in times of crisis.

Leadership and Vision.

Delight Foundation’s efforts are spearheaded by two remarkable individuals: Mr. Saitoti Meitamei, the CEO of Delight Technical College, and Lucy Mueni, the Face of Africa 2024. Mr. Meitamei’s leadership and vision have been instrumental in driving the foundation’s mission forward. His dedication to social responsibility and community support is evident in every project undertaken by the foundation.

Lucy Mueni, with her influential presence and commitment to humanitarian causes, brings a unique blend of passion and visibility to the foundation. Her involvement ensures that the foundation’s initiatives gain the attention they deserve, attracting more support and resources to amplify their impact.

A Collective Effort.

The success of Delight Foundation is a result of the collective effort of the Delight Technical College community, including students, staff, and alumni. The foundation encourages everyone to get involved, whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word about their initiatives. This collective spirit not only strengthens the foundation’s projects but also fosters a sense of unity and purpose within the Delight Technical College community.

Looking Ahead.

As Delight Foundation continues to grow, it remains committed to expanding its reach and impact. Future plans include more comprehensive support for children’s education, health initiatives, and disaster preparedness programs. With the continued guidance of Mr. Saitoti Meitamei and Lucy Mueni, the foundation is poised to make an even greater difference in the lives of those in need.

Delight Foundation stands as a beacon of hope and support in Nairobi. Through its projects, the foundation embodies the values of compassion, community, and resilience.
