At Level 5 of Delight’s fashion programme, Gents’ Wear receives dedicated, intensive focus preparing students to work professionally in this market.

- Total Hours: 240 | Hours per Week: 22
With 240 hours dedicated to this module alone, Level 5 students receive more training in men’s clothing construction than most other TVET fashion programmes offer in their entirety.

- Jacket and blazer construction- structured shoulders, lapels, lining
- Shirt construction- collar work, cuff attachment, placket
- Suit construction- the most technically demanding area of men’s wear
Pattern & Fit:
- Pattern drafting for the male form
- Fitting adjustments for different body types
- Bespoke versus ready-to-wear considerations
Fabric Knowledge:
- Suiting fabrics- wool, linen, polyester blends
- Shirting fabrics- cotton, poplin, Oxford cloth
- Linings, interfacings, and structural fabrics
