Here’s a look at how Delight alumni from Burundi are turning their dreams into real, inspiring success stories.
🇧🇮 From Bujumbura to Business Owner: Clarisse’s Story
Clarisse came to Nairobi to pursue a diploma in Fashion & Design. After graduating, she returned to Bujumbura and opened her own tailoring studio. Today, she employs three other young women and produces made-to-measure clothing for weddings, events, and boutiques.
“Delight gave me more than skills. It gave me the courage to start something for myself,” she says.
💡 Eric: Using Tech Skills to Train Youth in Burundi
Eric studied Digital Media at Delight. Now, he works with a local youth empowerment organization in Gitega, teaching graphic design and video editing to teenagers from underprivileged communities.
“My goal is to help more young Burundians gain digital skills, just like I did at Delight.”
