Most hostels popular with Delight students are in Ngara and Parklands, about 2–4 km from campus, and many include breakfast and supper in the rent. Use this guide to compare options, then contact the hostel directly to book.

Getting to campus
Our campus is on Muindi Mbingu Street, opposite Jevanjee Gardens.
- Matatu: the cheapest way from Ngara or Parklands, usually KES 20–50 per trip depending on the time of day.
- Bolt or Uber: about KES 200–400 from Ngara to the CBD.
- Boda bodas: only use trusted riders, wear the helmet, and agree the fare before you ride.

Staying safe in Nairobi
- Travel in groups at night and avoid poorly lit streets.
- Keep your phone, laptop and camera out of sight when walking.
- Save emergency numbers in your phone: your hostel manager, a family member, and Delight Technical College (+254 722 533 771).
- Use trusted transport and confirm the fare before boarding.
Before you pay
- Visit the hostel in person, or send a parent or trusted person to view the room.
- Ask for a written agreement and an official receipt for every payment.
- Check the refund rules. Several hostels do not refund rent once paid, and registration fees are non-refundable.
- Confirm whether the room is female-only, male-only or mixed.
- Never send money by M-Pesa for a room you have not seen.
